Whoops! I already missed a day. I’m bad at this thing. I clearly need to make this a calendar alert or something so I remember. I suppose that’s the point, right, so that I make it a habit to be writing daily, and it isn’t yet.

So, I’m going to Disney World this weekend! I’m super duper excited, because I love Disney. I actually haven’t been there since February, which is a long time for me. I’m going to run the Wine and Dine half-marathon on Saturday night. I’ve done it a few times before and it’s one of my favorite races. I like it for a few reasons. It’s at night, which is good because I’m very much a night person and because it’s much cooler in Florida at night. It is associated with the Food and Wine Festival, which is the best eating and drinking on Disney property. If you’ve never heard of the Food and Wine Festival, it means that EPCOT will be covered in booths offering tastes of the cuisine and wine selections from a ton of countries around the world. You can stop at each booth for a tasting sized portion of various foods and drinks. Since I love both food and wine, it’s the best!

Since I’m in crazy Disney mode, I’ve taken my Disney nerdom up to 11. I’m wearing Disney shirts all week. Yesterday, I had my “Wrong Castle” Disney shirt on because we also had a gaming event on campus. Today I have my Everest shirt on. I am also making my students listen to Disney music, nothing but Disney music. It’s really amusing, because most of them know it, but wouldn’t admit that they like it. I just sing along, loudly. I know more words to more Disney songs than really anybody probably should. From very early movies up through somewhat current stuff. I missed a few, I never saw Hercules or Tangled, but I’m still pretty good.

The big issue with being any kind of nerd is that my geek-out mode is not always that controllable. I start with just wearing my shirts and playing my music, but then someone asks me a question, and off I go on a long tangent of Disney knowledge and trivia. I’m sure I give people far more information than they ever need to know, but I just love my Disney!

Anyway, the count-down is t-minus 3 days! Any new Disney stuff that I should check out and review?
